Headshot: Redwall Fox

I decided to try my hand at doing a quick painted headshot this evening. I was imagining a sly fox in the Redwall world and went with that. It was meant only to be a warm-up, but I ended up going farther with it than I expected. xD He came out looking pretty awesome! I really like how much of his personality comes across in his face. One thing I learned doing this was to establish the darkest blacks and the whitest whites early on. It really helped me visualize everything in-between a lot easier. =D

After the longest time of poking the meteor while doing my Neopets Dailies and never getting anything, I had this happen - and I couldn’t believe it, I had a chuckle from the imagery. xD Neopets is an odd place.

I’m not 100% happy with how the comic turned out. I wish it came out “funnier.” Maybe it’s because I’ve been staring at it too long. X3 Nonetheless, I think I could be a cathartic thing for me to post art in the future even if I’m not completely happy with the outcome. Maybe it’ll help me feel more relaxed and worry less about the final product being “good enough” to share. I think I’m going to try it out and see how it goes! ^^
